Project history: Experimental hydrofoil. Wooden hull. Originally boat was planned as minelayer with 4 TMB mines. Ordered in June, 1940 and was ready for trials in December, 1941. After unsuccessful trials VS7 was rebuilt. New trials were begun in March, 1942 but VS7 was never commissioned by Kriegsmarine, trials were ended late 1944.
