Project history: Former French aviso-minesweepers of Chamois class. Incomplete Matelot Leblanc, Rageot de la Touche, Amiral Senes and Enseigne Ballande 27.10.1942 were captured by German troops in Toulon on various availability stages and completed for German Navy as fast escorts. Machinery was thus stored, but French armament was replaced by German.
Modernizations: none.
Naval service: SG14 was sunk 24.8.1944 S off Capri by Allied aircraft. SG21 was sunk 15.8.1944 by American destroyer Somers off St. Tropez. SG15 in April, 1944 was reclassified to submarine chasers UJ2229 and was sunk by British submarine Universal at Genoa 26.5.1944.
SG22 had not time to be commissioned by German Navy: she 20.8.1944 was scuttled at Port-de-Bouc.
