Project history: Fishery trawlers, purchased by Navy during building and commissioned as auxiliary patrols.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: Greta was sunk on mine 15.3.1918 off Blaavand Point. Bremerhaven was sunk by 4 British torpedo boats 5.10.1918 in 119nm NW off Helgoland. Bürgermeister Pauli 23.12.1916 was wrecked on Hohes Riff, salvaged, repaired and 8.1.1918 again wrecked on Hohes Riff. Claus Groth was mined off Tachkuna (Estonia) 18.4.1918. Admiral von Schröder 1.9.1917 off Blaavandshuk ran aground being damaged by British destroyers.
