Project history: Ex-Greek destroyer Vasilefs Georgios I. She was similar to British H-class ships, but was equipped with German main guns and fire-control system. She was sunk by German aircraft at Piraeus 20.4.1941, salvaged and after repair commissioned 21.3.1942 as ZG3. In battle conditions destroyer made to 33.6kts.
Modernizations: 1944: - 2 x 1 - 20/65; + 2 x 4 - 20/65 C/38
Naval service: 30.4.1943 Hermes was damaged by US aircraft and 7.5.1943 scuttled at Tunis.
