Project history: V180-185 belonged to the 1909 fiscal year, the second group to 1910, the hulls being identical with the one exception that the forward TTs could fire straight ahead in the second group. Apparently the boats became so wet through this feature that V187 was rebuilt, but the subsequent classes of German destroyers had this feature.
T190 29.8.1938 was converted to test ship Claus von Bevern.

Naval service: V187 was sunk in the North Sea by British cruisers and destroyers 28.8.1914. V188 was sunk in the North Sea 26.7.1915 by torpedo from British submarine E16. V191 was mined on Baltic 17.12.1915.
