Project history: Former Italian destroyer Antonio Pigafetta of Navigatori class. 11.9.1943 she was captured by German troops at Fiume and 14.10.1944 commissioned as TA44.

Naval service: TA44 was lost 17.2.1945 at raid of British aircraft to Trieste.
