Project history: The second half of the 1913 fiscal year boats were built by Schichau, externally resembling the V25 group. S35 and S36 were to be sold to Greece, but on the outbreak of the war were seized by Germany and commissioned under their original numbers.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: S31 was mined 19.8.1915 in the Gulf of Riga. S33 was torpedoed by British submarine L10 3.10.1918 in the North Sea, that day S34 was mined there. S35 was sunk 31.5.1916 at Jutland by British battlecruisers. S32 and S36 were interned 22.11.1918 at Scapa Flow, both were scuttled 21.6.1919 by crews, salvaged in 1925 and scrapped.
