Project history: Cargo vessel Schwarzenfels was built in 1925 for DDG Hansa, converted to catapult vessel Schwabenland for Deutsche Lűfthansa in 1934. Seaplanes were handled by 15t crane.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: Schwabenland was torpedoed 24.3.1944 by British submarine Terrapin off Egersund and stranded. Later she was salvaged but used only as hulk and scuttled 31.12.1946 with chemical ammunition on board.
