Project history: Depot ship for maintenance and repair of seaplanes on far basing points. Can carry up to three seaplanes which took places on a quarterdeck and were handled by 10t gantry, moved on rails.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: Hans Rolshoven was sunk 1.10.1942 on a mine at Bornholm, salvaged in July, 1943 and in March, 1945 sunk again by British bomers at Sassnitz.
