Project history: Schneider-Laubeuf type. Built under the 1922 programme. Variant of Sirène design.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: Doris after diesel incapacitation was sunk 9.5.1940 by German submarine U9 at coast of Holland. Circé and Calypso were captured by Germans at Bizerte 8.12.1942 and transferred to Italians, they never been commissioned again. Circé was renamed FR117 and scuttled at Italian departure 6.5.1943. Calypso was destroyed by Allied air bombs 30.1.1943. Thétis was scuttled at Toulon 27.11.1942.
