Project history: Differed from each other a little; Diligente, Conquérante and Valliante had straight stem, remaining ships had clipper bow.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: Diligente was captured by British 3.7.1940 at Portsmouth and returned after war. Engageante came over to the side of Allies in November, 1942 and was paid off in 1944.
