Project history: VTE-engined submarine chasers, designed and built in France in the end of the First World War. Only 16 or 17 ships of 37 ordered were commissioned. Two chasers, Ch111 and Ch112, were converted to river gunboats for service in Indochina.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: Ch106 was captured by British 3.7.1940. Ch107 was lost in Loire mouth 12.4.1940. Both gunboats were destroyed 9.3.1945: Commandant Bourdais was scuttled, and Avalanche was sunk by gunfire of aviso Amiral Charner.
