Project history: Patrol trawlers ordered for US shipbuilder in 1918. Only first 8 completed vessels were dispatched to France and all later trawlers were sold in the USA.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: In days of WWII at least nine of them were requisitioned from mercantile owners and served with French and British Navies.
