Project history: No.7 was unable to make her designed speed, the best on trials being 10.17kts. The TT was not satisfactory and was replaced by a spar torpedo.

Modernizations: late 1870s: - 1 - 350 TT; + 1 spar torpedo

Naval service: Condemned as à ÒÂ in 1887, she was renamed Compagnon and used as a utility craft. Finally discarded 1910.
