Project history: No.3 was a good sea boat but could only make 12.4kts. She made the first trials of compressed air launched torpedoes.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: Reclassified in March 1883 as an aviso de flotille and renamed Chevrelle, she was used in trials with petrol.
