Project history: Ordered in groups on 16.7.1876, 18.11.1878 and 10.2.1879. 22 and 21 had two funnels, the rest one. They made between 18.32kts (22) and 20.79kts (39) on trials.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: Designated second class TBs in 1883 they were sold or stricken between 1897 and 1903.
