Project history: PSP (Patrouilleurs de Service Public), ordered in 1992, but construction was delayed by the closure of the original contract yard. Based on the commercial Espadon 50 design, employing a deep-vee hull form capable of operating at speed in Sea State 4. They have a stern embarkation ramp for an Hurricane 7-metre water-jet rigid inflatable inspection boat capable of 30kts, and accommodation for up to 22 passengers. A 400m³/hr fire-fighting monitor is installed, and there are two 7m³ capacity spill recovery holding tanks. Main engines can be used in different combinations.
