Project history: Submarine minelayers, built under original project, ordered 12.12.1934. Part of amount on building has been obtained from sale of two destroyers to Peru and a part was collected on a subscription among the population.

Naval service: With occurrence of Estonia into USSR 19.8.1940 both entered Red Navy.
