Project history: Unique real cruiser of Danish Navy. To the First World War she has become outdated.

Ship protection: Guns were protected by shields. There was armoured main 65mm deck.

Modernizations: 1915: - 2 x 1 - 209/32, 6 x 1 - 149/32, 2 x 1 - 57/40, 6 x 5 - 37/17, 2 - 381 TT (beam); + 2 x 1 - 149/49 L/50 M.06, 6 x 1 - 75/52 L/55 KM.12

Naval service: Valkiryen was used as training ship in last service years.
