Project history: Further development of Hsien Ning. Ship stored general arrangement and appearance of the predecessor, but differed by higher and stretched forecastle with characteristic break, improved hull form, increased machinery power and significantly strengthened armament.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: In April, 1949 Yung Sui was sunk by communists forces on Yangtze, subsequently salvaged and commissioned by PRC Navy under former name.
