Project history: First large amphibious ships of the Chinese Navy. Four LCAC or LCM-class craft can be carried on the well deck. Helicopter deck (50.0x30.0m) had 4 spots for landing/take-off and handling of Z-8 size helicopters. Two helicopters can be carried in the hangar (18.5x23.0x8.0m). 2 LCVP are carried on davits. There are reserve spaces for FL-3000N SAM. Ships have a large hospital (450m² total area).
