Complement

 

Project history: Former merchantman Siang Lee (or Hsiang Lee), built in 1904 at Bremerhaven. In September, 1924 she was bought by Chinese "Chingkee Steamship Co" for Northern squadron; she was converted on Japanese shipyard at Port Arthur to auxiliary gunboat (armed by field guns) and renamed Chen Hai. In 1927 ship was rearmed by naval guns and adapted for carrying 2-3 seaplanes.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: 25.12.1937 Chen Hai was scuttled at Tsingtao.
