Project history: A class of 6 dispatch (patrol) ships was built in Helsinki for Imperial Russian Navy and in 1918 was captured by Finns on slipways. Chibis, Kulik, Strizh, Bekas in 1919 were sold incomplete by Finland to Chile and renamed in Colocolo, Elicura, Leucoton, Orompello; Golub` and Pingvin served under Finnish flag as gunboats Uusimaa and Hämeenmaa. In 1920, after completion, Chilean ships passed to England, where received minelaying equipment on S. White. Ships arrived to Chile 26.10.1920.
