Project history: Former British minesweeper Fairfield of Aberdare class. In 1920 she was sold to private owner. later she was bought by Brazil and 17.12.1937 commissioned by Navy as survey vessel. For researches of shallow harbour areas she was armed with two launches. In 1942 Jaceguai was rearmed and commissioned as a corvette.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: In 1945 she was disarmed and re-converted to survey vessel.
