Project history: Command and logistic support ship for mine countermeasures vessels and also doubles as a royal yacht. Ship has space for a laboratory and accommodation for oceanographic research personnel. A central hold is served by a single crane for the transfer of supplies to smaller vessels. Can also be used for cadet training with accommodations for 40 cadets.

Modernizations: late 1960s: - 1 x 2 - 40/60; + two reels for minesweeping cables, helicopter deck

1980: - 1 x 2 - 40/60; + 1 x 1 - 40/60 Mk 3, 4 x 2 - 12.7/90

1983: - 4 x 2 - 12.7/90, 2x nav. radars; + 2x Decca 1229 radars
