Project history: Former Russian armour river boats-scouts, ordered in 1915 by War department and never served in the Russian Imperial Navy. They belonged to two very similar series built by "Vega-Bureau" at Borgo (Finland) and Revensky Factory in Odessa. Some boats in 1918 were captured by Austro-Hungarian troops.
