Project history: Build to supply remote stations and also carry passengers and cargo in commercial service. Maximum cargo capacity is 9856m³, including 210m³ refrigerated. B3 and 4 received 1 5t, 1 12.5t and 1 25t cranes, B5 has 2 1.5t, 1 5t, 1 20t and 1 40t.

Modernizations: 1998, Bahía San Blas: was converted to amphibious transport with 1 5t, 1 12.5t and 1 20t cranes and 8 LCVP on deck and 130 troops.

Naval service: No significant events.
