Project history: Ordered in 2011 by BDSL programme (Bâtiment de débarquement et de soutien logistique). Enlarged version of Italian San Giusto. Has 2 landing spots for helicopters, hangar for 5 helicopters and 30t aircraft elevator. 20.5m long 7m high well-deck can accommodate 3 LCMs. Building of the second ship is an option.
